Not to be confused with Saint Anthony the great finder of all things lost. This Saint Anthony the Great is for the times we live in now. He is a comfort. For we remember the Way to Heaven through his life.
Saint Anthony had a vision where the whole world was full of snares and traps.
He cried to the Lord, "Oh good Lord, who may escape from these snares?"
A voice said back to him, "humility shall escape them without more. "

GREAT one! Thanks :--)
Thanks. I really like him. My friend I went to Medjugorje with in 1991 has loved him for twenty or so years. I just didn't know how much I needed him.
That is excellent, Carolyn. Thanks! Humility is the key to all virtue and heaven as Pride is the key to all sin and damnation. I read that one of the best guidances given to St. Therese' from a senior nun was, " ...Remember, Sister, for your whole life; as waters flow from the mountains own into the valleys, so too, do God's graces flow into humble souls."
Great counter-culture guidance for our times.
God bless you.

Thanks for the many readers who made this one to remember. I think I'll re-post it.
