Carolyn, Do we jump for joy or do we weep?

We should all jump for JOY. He is going to be a breathe of fresh air for Catholics who love the Church and will carry on the good works of Bishop Vasa.

Remember the cleaning out Bishop Vasa did giving those who loved the Church and Her Doctrines to stay in positions in Catholic teaching and other roles in the Church.

It was so wonderful to go to Mass knowing everyone at the altar and lecturn believed in the Church Christ founded.

Thank you Lord.

Do we know when he will be consecrated (that is the word, isn't it?). If it will be in Portland it would be wonderful to be there. I WONDER WHO WE WILL BE GETTING!

Here is some information regarding the "consecration" of a Bishop.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consecration#Ordination_of_bishops

To the best of my knowledge a new Bishop is consecrated by the Pope.

I don't know who will be the new Archbishop in Portland. He could be another priest. It's not necessary to have a Bishop named as an Archbishop, but preferred.

We need someone who can tackle the hard issues we have in Oregon. The Oregon Catholic Press is a big one.

If this guy was 'learned' in Rome; I am guessing that he is a Godly one.

What do you think?

You must know people down there in Eugene.

He's a great guy. Very pro-life and walks the talk.

I've known him for twenty years and he's gotten better with age. Like a fine wine. :-)

Dear Carolyn.. At least he is not one of the liberal priest/bishops. Deo Gratias..

Bishop Cary will take care of his sheep.

Thanks for the announcement.

It is wonderful - although he was helping me with the school issue.

God Bless.

Jeanine...He'll be able to do more here to save lives and the anti-corruption of children.

Keep doing your wonderful work. It's so wonderful for Oregon to have him. Now I wonder who's behind door #2?

God Bless.

Shirley,
It's so exciting it's hard to think. We can watch "almost" Bishop Cary on EWTN probably on the computer. I am feeling that the hope Christ says we should have is relieving us from a little of our misery.

Thanks for your kind words and prayers.

It's so wonderful Judi. We are blessed. Now we need our turn....:-)

I couldn't agree with you more... A huge improvement over the interim
bishop that Baker was stuck with... Sorry did I say that?

VOCAL said...

You did say it and with great restraint. I have to keep remembering that the "wheat and tares will be allowed to grow together"...he needs our prayers.
