Invitation to Installation Mass for Archbishop Sample



"The Installation Mass for Archbishop Sample will be celebrated on Easter Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the University of Portland’s Chiles Center. The Mass is open to the public and all are invited to attend. Seating for the public will be first-come, first-served. There will be a public reception at the Chiles Center immediately following the Mass."

Father didn't say the Mass was vulgar. Egads that would be an impossible statement coming from him.

His reason would have to be the problem that, to my knowledge, none of the religion professors have signed the "mandatum" which states:

Who is required to have the mandatum?
All Catholics who teach Catholic theological disciplines in a Catholic university are required to have a mandatum (canon 812 and Application: Article 4, 4, e).

Mass was not the focus.
